Dedicated to Nowraphiles, those who love rock climbing at Nowra. Nowra Rocks has been set up to let people know what's going on in Australia's premier climbing area. We have included news that we know about but we don't know everything so let us know if you have anything you can add. Knowledge is power. "Nowra is Australian for power" -Geoff Weigand 1994

Boas Kills It
So what is the best 22 at Nowra? Well according to 46% of people responding to our blog survey, Killer Boas at Thomos rules! Killer Boas is the epitome of Nowra climbing; short and burly with beautiful moves on exquisite rock. First climbed by Andrew Bull and Tony Barten in 1991 (the seconder got first ascent honours in those days!) the route originally passed 4 carrots and belayed off the tree on the sandy ledge. The route was subsequently modernised with three rings and a chain. Chuck a lap this weekend to find out what all the fuss is about.
